Our vision at Mo Abudu Films is to empower and inspire audiences worldwide by promoting the power of true artistic expression and the importance of creative freedom. Through our diverse range of films, we aim to reflect the richness and complexity of the human experience, while championing the voices and perspectives of underrepresented communities. We believe that through our work, we can ignite conversations and spark positive change, while paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable world.

After a decade of building the EbonyLife brand into the global entity that it has become, comprising of EbonyLife Films, EbonyLife Studios, EbonyLife Place, and The EbonyLife Creative Academy, I have ventured into embracing a very personal passion as a creative and not just a CEO and Studio Executive, having learnt through years of working with broadcast and network executives. I have pitched hundreds of ideas, only to realize that very few in an ocean of great stories ever see the light of day. I also realized that I must be brave and venture out to give expression to some of these very personal stories I am compelled to tell, that need nothing but the true freedom of expression, to give them life.

I have loved stories all my life, having grown up in England, watching most, if not all, of the old black and white classics and musicals, to those in technicolor and of course, to the most current films of today.

I took a very long road towards embracing creativity from being a talk show host, to building a television channel, to becoming a studio producer and a lifestyle brand, and now it’s time to give expression to my deep love and obsession for stories that matter to me.

A few in the industry know that I have been to film school,  The London Film School in 2017, and finally I took the great leap to the creative side to write and direct my first short films that address social issues that are very close to my heart. And it’s with this new adventure that MO ABUDU FILMS was born.

As an original talk show host for nearly 15-years with MOMENTS WITH MO, I have witnessed first-hand, just how complex humanity really is. I’m a new writer and director and at MO ABUDU FILMS, I will embrace telling uncensored, non-agenda driven stories about the human condition and matters of the heart that I am deeply passionate about.

Authentic stories that capture our imaginations can live forever, if there is someone who remembers to tell them forward.
